We accept the industries major vision insurance plans for your routine vision needs. In addition, we take most major medical insurances for all aspects of medical eye care including, infection, emergencies and care of eye disease.
Dr. Hughes attended University of Wyoming for his undergraduate degree then moved on to complete his Master’s degree in Biomedical Science at Colorado State University. He received his doctorate from the Southern California College of Optometry. Professional memberships include the American Optometric Association (AOA) as well as the Colorado Optometric Association (COA). Dr. Hughes enjoys taking care of his patients, with a special interest in educating his patients about their ocular health and vision. When not seeing patients, Dr. Hughes spends his free time with his family, as well as spending time outside fly fishing or snowboarding.
Dr. Hughes attended University of California, Irvine for her undergraduate degree. She then completed her Doctorate of Optometry at the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, California. She is member of both the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the Colorado Optometric Association (COA). Dr. Hughes enjoys all aspects of optometry and has a special interest in pediatrics, contact lenses and ocular disease. When she is not practicing optometry, Dr. Hughes enjoys running, snowboarding, fly fishing and spending time with her husband and dogs.
Dr. Keller founded Boulder Eye Surgeons, and began practicing in Boulder in 1995. He completed his undergraduate training at Creighton University with a degree in Chemistry. He went on to medical school at the University of Nebraska, where he graduated with research honors, and was elected into the medical honors fraternity, Alpha Omega Alpha. Following medical school, Dr. Keller completed an internal medicine internship at Creighton University. He completed his formal training with a three year Ophthalmology residency at the University of Nebraska, where he served as chief resident during his third year.
Now a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, Dr. Keller has trained locally and internationally in the areas of cataract and refractive surgery. Dr. Keller has been performing Lasik since 1997, now offering FDA approved Customvue lasik with iris registration using the VisX Star S4 laser. In addition to Lasik, Dr. Keller was the first surgeon in the Denver/Boulder area performing the FDA approved Crystalens cataract procedure and the first in the Boulder area to offer endocyclophotocoagulation (ECP), a laser treatment for glaucoma.
Brenda was born and raised in Chicago, and has resided in Colorado since 2018. She enjoys spending time cooking for loved ones, watching sports (DA Bears), and when the weather is nice, spending time outdoors and gardening.
She’s been in the Optometry industry since 2020 and really enjoys it!
Karly began working at Third Avenue Eyecare in 2006 as an Optometric Technician. She is now an American Board of Opticianry certified optician and finds great reward by helping patients improve their vision. Karly enjoys the fashion side of it also, just ask her how many pairs of eyeglasses she has! When she is not in the Optical shop, she may be downstairs in our optical lab making glasses in house.
In her spare time, she enjoys camping, golfing, paddle boarding, playing guitar and spending time with her family.
